Transport Minister Condemns Maiduguri Bomb Blast, Mourns VictimsThe Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali, has condemned the tragic bomb blast that occurred on Wednesday at the Al Adum Jummuat Mosque in the Gamboru Market area of Maiduguri, Borno State.

Alkali described the incident as barbaric and inhumane, and emphasised that peaceful coexistence remains the foundation for meaningful development in any society.

He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Borno State.

Senator Alkali prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased and wished those injured a speedy and full recovery.

According to preliminary reports from the Borno State Police Command, five (5) persons lost their lives in the incident, while thirty-five (35) others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The injured are currently receiving medical care at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital and the State Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri.

The Minister reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at sustaining peace and security across the country.
